Make the most of the abundance of plums this autumn with a simple and delicious compote. Great as an easy desert served with whipped cream or coconut yoghurt. Or keep in the fridge to add to your breakfast each morning - fantastic paired with Greek yoghurt and muesli.
- Heat water in a large saucepan and once boiling add sugar and dissolve.
- Add the plums, cinnamon sticks (if using) and simmer gently for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
- When sauce thickens, leave to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
Can be stored in an air tight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
