Rye is a very hard grain. Whole grain rye kernels can be sprouted or cooked and used as a porridge or in casseroles and other grain dishes. High in the essential amino acid lysine, sprouted rye contains flourine.
1 cup whole rye: 3.5 cups water - bring to the boil, simmer 2hr.
