Winter Wellness: Turmeric Mānuka Tonic Recipe

We’re delighted to be celebrating Winter Wellness Week here at Commonsense (12-18 June 2017). For us, this Tonic is the essence of winter wellness:  anti-inflammatory turmeric mixed with warming ginger, antibacterial Mānuka honey and Vitamin C-rich lemons. A grind of black pepper helps make the goodness of the turmeric more absorbable. 

Our Corporate Services Manager Lucy whipped this up this quick and easy recipe in the office this week, and our team was amazed that something so 'good for you' could also taste SO good! It's divine! Read on to discover Lucy's very easy recipe.

Beautiful, delicious and full of healthy properties! Our homemade Turmeric Mānuka Tonic. 

Turmeric Mānuka Tonic 

Ingredients: 

  • I tsp Aotea 125+ MGO Mānuka Honey
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • ½ tsp grated turmeric
  • Black pepper 

Instructions:  

  • Add ingredients to a cup and fill with boiling water. 
  • Stir and leave for a few minutes for flavours to percolate.
  • Add a final grind of black pepper.  Delicious!
